課程概述 |
本課程首先處理社區營造、社區規劃的案例實踐與政策脈絡。我們將介紹台灣社區營造從社會運動到建制化的過程，並介紹相關政策發展，並介紹一些指標性的案例。亞洲城市雖然有著經濟與社會脈絡的顯著差異，但是社區組織者、專業者、研究者與都市決策者等，近年來在社區營造的領域上的互動也逐漸強化。因此本課程也將介紹日本、韓國、中國大陸、以及越南等地的社區營造經驗。並將重點放在其所處的社會脈絡以及社區營造模式的差異，從經驗介紹而進一步發展出理論性比較研究的視角。
在理論方面，本課程將處理與「社區」的定義、政治權力、文化認同與社會經濟等議題。本課程將介紹以下主要概念： (1) 從社區權力（community power）到社會資本（social capital）的研究；(2) 有關公民社會（civil society）與社區動員的討論 (community mobilization) ; (3) 地方認同 (local identity)：包括生活方式(life style)、集體記憶 (collective memory)、集體創新 (collective innovation)（藝術、經濟、生態）等經驗；（4）新自由主義模式下，社區福利、社區經濟的可能性與限制。

課程目標 |
一、剖析台灣社區營造的經驗，理解政策脈絡。
二、發展多元文化的角度來理解社區規劃與設計實踐。
三、深化理論訓練，熟悉社區規劃與地方營造的相關文獻，並發展比較研究。
同時，除了主要讀物，課程講解過程中將大量引介城鄉所既有的學生論文及相關研究，以理解、傳承並反省本所在社區研究領域的相關經驗。

課程要求 |
1. 準時上課。若您不能維持準時出席的守則，請不要選修這堂課。若您有特殊狀況不能出席或遲到，請於上課前通知課程助教。本課程歡迎旁聽，但請旁聽生遵守上課時間規定。
2. 每節上課兩天前繳交兩頁A4讀書心得（reflection），email給課程助理。由課程助理整理後在上課前一天傳給所有修課學生。不收逾期作業。
3. 出席率、報告內容以及討論發言的參與很重要。佔期末總成績之40%。
4. 平時作業成績為總成績之30%。
5. 期末報告為總成績之30％。除非不可抗力原因，不收逾期報告。
6. 期末作業若有抄襲情況，學期成績將以零分計。 |
